A Family Business, Built on Obstacles
This gym is what happens when four kids, one garage full of homemade ninja obstacles, and a decade of passion collide.
Our Story
"I Want to Do That!"
In 2014, a viral American Ninja Warrior run captivated the world — and our five-year-old son. His eyes lit up and he said the four words that changed our family's trajectory: "I want to do that!"
We're Barak and Alison Davis. In 2020, Barak combined his love of extreme sports with our family's growing ninja obsession, and our garage transformed into a mini training zone — rock walls, ropes, monkey bars, even a homemade salmon ladder. Our four kids logged countless hours on it, all determination and huge smiles.
When our youngest started competing and we couldn't find a dedicated training facility nearby, we began praying about opening our own. In early 2025, doors started opening in ways we could only call confirmation. Lightning Ninja Academy — a fully equipped indoor ninja facility in Roseville — is the result.
As a family-owned and operated gym, we're building more than a place to train: a community where kids, teens and adults across Roseville, Rocklin, Citrus Heights and the greater Sacramento area can challenge themselves, build confidence, and experience the thrill of conquering obstacles together.
What We Stand On
Three pillars support and guide our company, our coaching and our vision.
Passion
We chase the spark — the moment a kid falls in love with movement and can't wait to come back.
Perseverance
Obstacles are supposed to be hard. Falling and trying again is the whole point — in the gym and in life.
Progress
With passion and perseverance, progress is inevitable. Our leveling system makes sure it gets noticed.
